Harcourt Valley - Lord Area

This area proved quite hard to map due to the spacing of the problems. So, wander the hillside to the right of the path leading up to the Garden boulders to find these problems. Enjoy. This area contains a lot of rock - only the tip of the iceberg has been documented. Some problems climbed by Pete Reynolds and Ash Sankey have not yet been recorded in this guide.

Warm-up slab - V easy from stand start.

Faith Arete and Faith Arete Right are tricker propositions - both around V5. FA: Pete Reynolds.

Treeless Lord ascends the slab via tricky moves (and avoids the tree) V3. FA: Ash Sankey.

Lord Gumtree takes the easier bulge V2. FA: Ash Sankey.

The Crack is an old-school classic whilst the projects are good lines for the brave.

Ash's Arete takes the obvious arete at around V1. FA: Ash Sankey.

Sit start and climb the sharp wall of the well-named Cheese Grater. Painful. V3. FA: Pete Reynolds.

The best problems in the area by a long way on nice rock:
Into the Wild starts from a sit and tops out directly. V7. FA: Pete Reynolds.

Out of the Wild starts from a sit and then traverses off leftwards around the corner to finish easily. V5. FA: Pete Reynolds

Further up the hillside....
1. Beautiful Sunset is a stand-start to the bulging arete. V6 FA: Pete Reynolds.

2. Fatherhood is a sit-start that traverses leftwards to top out. V6. FA: Pete Reynolds.
